You may be interested in "Forensic Aspects of Ancient Egypt," a day-long program at the University of London, February 20. December 31, 2009—The January and February lectures are listed below. Check back in coming days for the rest of the 2010 lectures. December 6, 2009—Due to the snowstorm, the memorial service for Ellen has been postponed until next Saturday, December 12, 2:00–4:00 pm. July 16, 2007—Bill Petty has launched a new Web site, Egyptophile.com, dedicated to all things ancient Egyptian. Egyptophiles, including interested contributors, should visit the Web site for information. January 16—Most 2008 lecture dates have been confirmed. Please note that the January and February lectures are on unusual days of the week. December 18, 2007—Some 2008 lecture dates have been confirmed. November 1, 2007—The 2008 lecture schedule has been announced. Dates and some details are tentative. September 20, 207—There will be a special lecture Oct. 10 by Barry Kemp, professor of Egyptology at the University of Cambridge (UK) and director of the Amarna project. See below for complete information. Aug. 12, 2007—Picnic Date: The August Scribe's Palette contains conflicting information about the date of the August picnic. The picnic is August 19. The date is correct in the date list on the front page, and in the president's column. The date on the map is incorrect (and is probably left over from last year's map). July 11, 2007—The July issue of The Scribe's Palette included an incorrect date for the August lecture. The correct date is Monday, August 13. April 2, 2007—The T.G.H. James lecture, previously scheduled for May 17, has been cancelled. (The May 21 lecture will take place as planned.) March 13, 2007—Starting at the March meeting (March 19), we will be holding a silent auction of Egyptology books each month. Please come as early as 6:30 to view the books and place your bids. March 13, 2007—ESS and CAS (Colorado Archaeological Society) will be presenting a joint lecture in August. Mark your calendars for Monday, August 13, at Ricketson Auditorium.
